I’ve been in the hair industry since 2018, specializing in color, highlights, and balayage. As a wife and mom of two, I understand how important it is to feel confident and refreshed, and I love helping my clients achieve that.

In addition to creating beautiful transformations behind the chair, I also help manage the salon, making sure everything runs smoothly for both our clients and team. My passion is not just in the artistry of hair but also in building meaningful connections with the people I work with and serve everyday!

With over 20 years of experience in the cosmetology industry and a decade at Design Studio East, I have honed my expertise in hair color and color corrections. My passion lies in transforming hair through precision and artistry, and I pride myself on delivering the best consultation to every client. By truly understanding each individual's needs, I ensure a personalized experience that helps them achieve their desired results.

When I'm not working in the salon, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and kids, making the most of every opportunity to connect with nature and create lasting memories.

Caylie Canniff // Level 4

I’ve always loved connecting with people and helping them feel confident through their hair. Blonding is my specialty - I enjoy creating stunning customized looks for my clients.

When I am not behind the chair, you’ll find me traveling with my team or making memories with my family. Married to my high school sweetheart, I am a proud mom to twin boys with a baby on the way. I’m passionate about my craft and look forward to helping you achieve your dream hair!

I attended the Douglas J Aveda Institute in East Lansing right after high school and have been apart of Design Studio East for over 8 years. My favorite color services are highlights and teasy lights - I love the creativity they bring!

When I am not at the salon, you can find me spending time with family and friends or exploring new places through travel. I can’t wait to have you in my chair!

Lacey Bowersox // Level 3

With over seven years of experience in the industry, I am a proud graduate of Hillsdale Beauty College and a licensed cosmetologist specializing in creating stunning lived-in blonde looks, vibrant and fun vivid color transformations, and expert color corrections.

In addition to hair color, I am also passionate about special occasion makeup. Certified and trained in airbrush makeup techniques, I love to give long-lasting results for events ranging from weddings to proms and photoshoots. Whether behind the chair or creating a breathtaking makeup look, I am dedicated to making every client feel confident and beautiful!

Emma Feld // Level 3

I’ve been a professional cosmetologist for 5 years and been a part of the DSE team since early 2024. I love everything to do with hair; cutting, coloring, and especially wedding updos! Helping everyone get ready for their big day is one of my favorite things.

I have a wonderful partner, daughter and two cats at home that I love to spend time with! I enjoy knitting, learning to quilt, watching Gilmore Girls and shopping.

I have been a stylist for 3 years and graduated from Douglas J Aveda Institute. I have been with Design Studio East for 2 years and am so blessed to be apart of the team. I love to create dimensional blondes, reverse balayages, and create romantic updos. I am so excited to meet you and treat you to a unique experience and customize your hair just for you.

When I’m not in the salon, I love to spend time with my daughter and husband at home, shopping or making candles for my small business.

Kay is in the process of becoming a newly licensed professional cosmetologist with a passion for creating beautiful, dimensional color looks. Specializing in blondes and teasy, lived-in looks, she thrives on transforming her clients' hair and is always excited to take on new challenges. In her chair, it's all about having fun and building lasting relationships—many of her clients become her friends. With over 2 years of prior salon experience and education, she is excited to see you soon!

When she's not working her magic in the salon, Kay loves spending quality time with her daughter, showering her with love and attention. Her dedication to both her craft and her family is at the heart of everything she does.

My passions are corrective + transformative skincare, product formulations to ensure each client is using the right skin care products for their skin type, making sure my clients are comfortable at all times!

I am currently studying in the nursing program, working towards my goal of becoming a nurse. Outside of work and school, I love to spend time with my family, friends, and boyfriend. In my free time, I enjoy walking, traveling, and shopping.
